Matchday three of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League produced a series of dramatic results, with Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak both dropping points while Bibiani Gold Stars staged a late comeback to secure victory.
The round of fixtures began on Saturday and concluded on Sunday, with several closely contested encounters across the country.
Defending champions Medeama SC were held to a 1-1 draw by Vision FC at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex in Tema New Town.
Vision made a bright start and went ahead after just eight minutes when Naziru Alhassan Nyeney found the back of the net. Medeama responded strongly after the break and drew level two minutes into the second half through Kingsley Braye.
At the Kpando Sports Stadium, Heart of Lions and Swedru All Blacks played out a goalless draw.
Hearts of Oak were also forced to settle for a point after being held 0-0 by Bechem United at the University of Ghana Stadium on Sunday.
Aduana FC, meanwhile, claimed a dramatic 2-1 victory over Karela United at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park.
Stephen Amankona gave the hosts the lead before the break, but Nyaba Iddi Mahfuz equalised for Karela in the second half. With the game seemingly heading for a draw, Shawkan Mohammed struck deep into stoppage time to hand Aduana all three points.
Basake Holy Stars secured a narrow 1-0 win over FC AshantiGold at the AAK II Park, with Hudson Joseph's first-half effort proving decisive.
Debibi United recorded one of the biggest wins of the weekend, beating Young Apostles 3-0. Kwadwo Obeng Junior scored twice in the opening half before Ibrahim Alhassan added a third to complete an impressive performance.
Bibiani Gold Stars produced a remarkable comeback to defeat Dreams FC 3-2 at the Tuba Astro Turf.
Abdul Razak Salifu gave Dreams an early lead before Michael Nkoah equalised for Gold Stars after the restart. Mohammad Shaban restored Dreams' advantage with 17 minutes remaining, but Evans Adomako levelled in the 81st minute before Bernard Kesse struck in stoppage time to seal a dramatic victory for the visitors.
Debutants Port City FC continued their impressive start to life in the top flight with a 2-1 win over Berekum Chelsea at the Nana Boamah Park.
Francis Gyetuah opened the scoring after just two minutes and, after Jamal Haruna had equalised for Chelsea in the second half, Gyetuah grabbed a late winner to secure maximum points for the hosts.
At the Nsenkyire Sports Arena, Asante Kotoko were denied victory by FC Samartex in a 1-1 draw.
Following a goalless first half, Emmanuel Mamah put the Porcupine Warriors ahead. However, Christian Agyenim Boateng struck seven minutes from time to rescue a point for Samartex.
After three rounds of matches, Hearts of Oak lead the standings, with FC Samartex, Basake Holy Stars and Asante Kotoko completing the top four. At the other end of the table, Heart of Lions, Medeama SC and Dreams FC occupy the relegation places.
