Ghanaian striker Jonathan Sowah is on the verge of completing a return to Tanzanian Premier League side Singida Black Stars after agreeing personal terms on a three-year contract with his former club.
The deal is now awaiting the completion of negotiations between Singida Black Stars and Simba SC, with both clubs expected to finalise the transfer in the coming days.
Sources close to the negotiations indicate that the transfer is being spearheaded by Dr. Mwigulu Nchemba, who is in direct discussions with Simba SC President Mohammed "Mo" Dewji to secure an agreement that will pave the way for the Ghana international's return.
Sowah previously enjoyed a successful spell with Singida before earning a move to Simba SC, one of Tanzania's biggest clubs.
Although he arrived at Simba with high expectations, the striker is now set for a fresh start at a familiar environment where he previously impressed.
The proposed move represents a significant boost for Singida Black Stars as they strengthen their squad ahead of the new season, with Sowah expected to add experience, goals and attacking quality to the team.
Before making his name in Tanzania, Sowah starred for Ghana Premier League outfit Medeama SC, where his impressive performances established him as one of the country's most prolific forwards.
His exploits with the Mauve and Yellow earned him recognition and eventually opened the door for opportunities abroad.
Should the two clubs successfully conclude negotiations, Sowah will officially return to Singida Black Stars on a long-term deal, marking the latest chapter in the Ghanaian forward's career as he looks to rediscover his best form in the Tanzanian top flight.
