Division One League outfit Elmina Sharks have confirmed the return of Yaw Acheampong as head coach ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The club officially announced his reappointment on Thursday, September 11, marking his comeback to the coastal side he previously led before departing in 2021.
Acheampong, who parted ways with Legon Cities at the end of last season, will once again be joined by his long-time assistant, Felix Aboagye.

In a statement, Sharks said: “Yes, the rumours are true!!! Yaw and Felix are back! We’re excited to have them on board and look forward to working together to achieve success on the pitch.”
The duo’s immediate task will be to guide the team back to the Ghana Premier League, following a turbulent campaign that saw Sharks narrowly avoid relegation after finishing 11th on the final day of last season.
Acheampong, a former captain of AshantiGold, brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously managed Medeama SC, Eleven Wonders, Inter Allies and Elmina Sharks.
