Meet of Champions 2025: GH Dolphins retain their crown as winners of Ghana Swim League Season 3

The epic swim season finally came to an end as a record-breaking 13 swim clubs across the country battled in about 171 events across two days at the Aquatic Center in the Borteyman Sports Complex from Saturday, June 28 to Sunday, June 29, 2025 as Ghana Dolphins won the Meet of Champions for the second year in a row.

A groundbreaking event of 189 swimmers, both males and females, eclipsing the 172 swimmers that took part in season 2, were brought together across 13 swim clubs in Ghana for the showpiece.

The swim clubs to have competed in the various events include; African Sharks, Blue Whales, Dolphins Swim Center, GH Aquatic Masters, Ghana Bluefins Swim Club, Ghana Dolphins, Legon Swimming Club, Lincoln Community School, Marlins Swim Team, Multikids Inclusive Academy, Tema Seals Swim Team, The Monarch Swimming Academy, and Torpedo Swim Club.

Besides, the two-day swimming contest witnessed swimmers from age 6 to 32 compete in several strokes, that is, 50m, 100m, 200m and 400m Freestyle, 50m, 100m and 200m Backstroke, 50m, 100m and 200m Breaststroke, 50m, 100m and 200m Butterfly as well as 400m IM, Mixed 100m Butterfly and Mixed 200m Medley Relay.

Moreover, Michael Arthur Crabbe-Mann, 15, from Marlins emerged overall best male swimmer with 90 points as Debrah Sammens Williams, 11, from Legon Sharks finished second with 70 points alongside teammate Conrald Kwao, 13, for third with 49 points. Oduma Agyei, 15, from GH Dolphins made history to win the female best swimmer for a record 3 consecutive years with 98 points. Teammate Louise Holm, 11, placed second with 81 points as Anika James, 8, from Lincoln Community School remain third with 43 points.

Mrs. Delphina Quaye, President of Ghana Swimming Association, Munir Kassim Mohammed (General Secretary of GSA), Christopher Essilfie, Board Chairman of Ghana Swim League, Abbiw Kojo Jackson, Director of GSL, Ralph Quaye, GSL Board Member among others all graced the tournament.

Meanwhile, Season 4 of the Ghana Swim League could return later in October before the end of the year 2025.
