Medeama SC have completed the signing of talented defender Kamaradin Mamudu, the club has announced.
Mamudu has joined Medeama on a two-year deal ahead of the new 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign.
He was a sensation for Tamale City FC last season despite the team suffering relegation.
Speaking after signing the deal, Kamaradin Mamudu said, “I am very happy to be here and contribute to the drive of this great club. It wasn’t a difficult decision to join Medeama,” he told medeamasc.org
“I am thrilled to be part of a group of talented players who won the Ghana Premier League last season.
“I know what it is needed to excel and succeed at such a big club like Medeama. I can’t wait to get started and contribute to the success of the team.”
His acquisition is to strengthen Medeama squad for the next season’s CAF Champions League campaign.
Mamudu has reunited with his former Tamale City teammate Godknows Dzakpasu – who has signed a three-year deal.
Meanwhile, Medeama will face Nigerian side Remo Stars FC in the first preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
The Ghanaian champions will host the first leg at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on August 18-20, 2023 before travelling to Nigeria for the second leg fixture on August 25-27, 2023.
The winner of the tie will play Guinean giants AC Horoya in the final stage of the preliminary round
