Head coach of Asante Kotoko, Seydou Zerbo is travelling to Burkina Faso following the death of his 10-year-old son.
The tactician has been granted permission by the management of the Porcupine Warriors club and is expected to spend a few weeks away.
“Asante Kotoko management has granted Coach Seydou Zerbo a two-weeks off-duty after losing his son Zerbo Faical Mamadou on Tuesday evening in Burkina Faso.
“The Head Coach will head to Burkina Faso today from the Kotoka International Airport,” a communique from Asante Kotoko said on Wednesday, March 8.
The son of coach Seydou Zerbo sadly passed on Tuesday due to complications after heart surgery.
In his absence, assistant coach Orlando Wellington is stepping in to handle the affairs of Asante Kotoko.
Coach Zerbo will not be available for the Ghana Premier League match against FC Samartex.
Fans of Asante Kotoko are entreated to pray for Coach Seydou Zerbo and his family in this difficult period.
