An impressive attacking display from Dreams FC on Sunday afternoon ended with the team seeing off Elmina Sharks FC with a 2-0 win.
Sharks today played as visitors to the team in Dawu hoping to find the strength to cruise to a win to inspire a fight to survive relegation at the end of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.
In a game played at the Theatre of Dreams, Elmina Sharks played fairly well in the first 30 minutes but pressure from Dreams FC in the final 15 minutes of the game was too much.
As a result, the away team conceded as the hosts equalized through Agyenim Boateng in the 41st minute.
After recess, Elmina Sharks pushed to find a way back into the game but the opponent was too strong.
Eventually, a strike from Abdulai Ibrahim in the 80th minute wrapped up a 2-0 win for Dreams FC at full-time.
Today’s result leaves Elmina Sharks rotting at the bottom of the Ghana Premier League standings.
Meanwhile, Dreams FC have climbed to 9th on the league table.
