Ghana midfielder Afriyie Acquah has terminated his contract with Saudi Arabian club Al Batin five months after joining them.
The 29-year-old leaves having made eight league appearances having joined the club prior to the start of the 2021/22 football season.
Acquah signed a two-year contract with an option to extend after leaving Turkish Super Lig side Yeni Malatyaspor.
But the former Torino and Sampdoria man found living and working conditions unfavourable.
”One thing for sure is that Afriyie Acquah did not request for a termination because of football reasons and that’s all I can say, ” a source close to Acquah is quoted by Ghanasoccernet.com.
“Both parties are happy so we move on and start the search for a new club in the January transfer window.”
Acquah has also played for Parma, Palermo, TSG Hoffenheim and FC Empoli.
