Sulemanu Tetteh who has qualified for Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games is sad about how the sports authorities do not fulfil their promises to Athletes after participating in international games.

“Ghana hosted ECOWAS Games in 2012 and we were promised by then sports minister and national sports authority heads that winner of Gold medal gets $5,000 dollars, Silver $3,000 dollars and bronze $1,500 dollars.

I won gold in the featherweight category and I was supposed to be paid $5,000 dollars but I did not receive it till now” said Black Bombers captain Sulemanu.

I beat the Africa number one and number two best boxers recently in Senegal to book my qualification to Tokyo 2021 Olympic games but our per diems and allowances hasn't been paid, I weep all day and ask myself if it worth dying for Ghana.

He pleaded with his employers Ghana Prisons Service to release him to start preparations for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

“I had a dream of winning gold medal for my country and it must be realized. Despite all the frustrations, problems and challenges, I am focused and determined to win a medal for Ghana, so the government must motivate and encourage me” he expressed.
