Nigerian comedian Stanley Chibunna, popularly known as Funny Bone, has opened up about a painful encounter with someone close to him who doubted his future.
In a post shared on his Instagram page, the comedian revealed that the individual told him to his face that he would never amount to greatness in life.
Funny Bone noted that the statement hurt him deeply. According to him, looking back, he realized the pain stemmed from the fact that he had not fully recognized the man he had already become.
He, however, stated that he was never in pursuit of greatness because it has always been his disposition. He added that he was only angry because he had not yet realized he was already a great man.
He wrote:
"Someone 'SUPPOSEDLY' dear to my heart said to my face recently, that I would never amount to greatness in life."
"That statement hurt me to my bones. But, in hindsight, I realised that the pain came from not fully recognising who I had become."
"I was never in pursuit of greatness. Greatness has always been my disposition. I was angry because I hadn't yet realised that I was already a GREAT MAN."
