Nigerian comedian and actor Ayodeji Makun, popularly known as AY, has expressed his gratitude to fans following the success of his UK tour shows in London and Manchester.
The comedian shared a message on his Instagram page on Monday, noting that the immense love shown to him during the tour has left him more convinced than ever of his brand's strength.
Amid the controversy surrounding the Cardiff show, AY organized the London show for Saturday, October 31, 2026, featuring Akpororo, MC Monica, and Mr. Cee. The Manchester show took place on Sunday, November 1, 2026, with Akpororo and MC Monica, and was a huge success.
Following the success of the two shows, the comedian declared that the AY brand is here to stay, adding that he remains relevant and far from cancellation. He expressed his appreciation to the fans in London and Manchester for their unwavering support.
He wrote:
"After everything these past few days, the love you have shown me on this tour has made me more convinced than ever."
"The AY brand is here to stay. Still relevant. Still standing. Far from cancellation."
"Because THE LOVE IS REAL."
"THANK YOU, LONDON AND MANCHESTER."
The Nigerian Voice recalls that AY's 'AY Live: Single and Not Searching' UK tour encountered controversy after the Cardiff show, scheduled for Sunday, October 25, 2026, failed to hold as expected at Valegate Retail Park.
Attendees reportedly waited for hours before leaving the venue in frustration, prompting AY to explain that unresolved payment commitments delayed his appearance.
