Senator Ned Nwoko has threatened legal action against individuals and platforms spreading false information about his estranged wife, actress Regina Daniels.
The politician issued the warning in a post shared on his social media pages, expressing deep concern over the circulation of fabricated death announcements and misleading stories about her health and personal circumstances.
Nwoko stated that these publications are not harmless social media engagement, noting that Regina sees the posts and finds them deeply distressing. According to him, the false reports do nothing to support her recovery and only add to the burden she is already carrying.
The senator appealed to her genuine fans to discourage this behavior instead of amplifying it, while making it clear that he will not tolerate the deliberate spread of misinformation.
The politician noted that the publications are being documented, and anyone found responsible will be held accountable through the appropriate legal channels.
He stated that the limit of what should be tolerated has been reached, urging the public to give Regina some breathing space for the sake of her well-being and their children.
He wrote:
"Let me make this very clear: I will not tolerate the deliberate spread of false information about Regina, particularly fabricated reports about her death, health or personal circumstances. Those hiding behind social media accounts to invent stories, mislead the public and exploit her situation for clicks and engagement should stop immediately. We are documenting these publications, and anyone found responsible will be held accountable through the appropriate legal channels. There is a limit to what should be tolerated, and that limit has been reached. Regina deserves the opportunity to recover without being subjected to a fresh wave of fabricated stories every day."
"I am particularly concerned about the circulation of false and disturbing reports about her, including fabricated death announcements, misleading stories and other hurtful content. These things are not harmless social media engagement. Regina sees many of these posts, and they are deeply distressing. They do nothing to support her recovery, rather, they add to the burden she is already carrying. I appeal to her fans, who genuinely care about her, to help discourage this behaviour instead of amplifying it."
The Nigerian Voice recalls that Regina Daniels, while celebrating her 25th birthday on Saturday, October 10, opened up about a health challenge that has affected her mobility for several months.
