Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has advised her followers to know their worth and stay focused, regardless of the distractions that come with success.
In a post shared on her X handle, the box office queen reflected on the realities of hard work and the unexpected challenges that follow achievements.
Akindele noted that while sleepless nights and sacrifices eventually bring accolades, distractions can arise in various forms, including love.
She clarified that there is nothing wrong with falling in love, but she urged people not to lose themselves in the process.
She encouraged her audience to prioritize self-love and remain focused on their goals, admitting that she was also speaking to herself.
She wrote:
"You work so hard, sleepless nights, sacrifices, building something from scratch. Then come the accolades! But you see, distractions will come in different forms, sometimes even in the form of love. Nothing wrong with falling in love o! Just don’t lose yourself. Know your worth, stay focused and love yourself first. I’m preaching to myself too!."
