Former Big Brother Naija housemate Munirat Antoinette Lecky, widely known as Anto Lecky, has been elevated to the position of Special Adviser to the Edo State Governor on Tourism and Creative Economy.
The appointment, approved by Governor Monday Okpebholo, takes effect from October 12, 2026, as confirmed by an official letter shared online.
Lecky, who previously served as the Senior Special Assistant on Tourism and Creative Economy, took to her Instagram page to express her gratitude for the promotion.
She noted that the reward for hard work is the opportunity to do even more, thanking the Governor and the Secretary to the State Government for their support throughout her journey.
Reflecting on her time in office, she noted that in just over a year, she has been given the chance to expand her service to the state. Lecky reaffirmed her commitment to an open-door policy, inviting citizens to share their creative and tourism ideas to help push the state forward.
She also used the opportunity to encourage other public figures appointed to political roles to truly answer the call and do the work, acknowledging the difficulty of leaving one's comfort zone but emphasizing the reward of serving the people.
She wrote:
"The reward for work well done is the opportunity to do more. Thank you HE Senator Monday Okpebholo @he_mondayokpebholo for the opportunity to continue serving Edo people, now as Special Adviser on Tourism and Creative Economy. Thanks to my Chairman and the SSG @musa.ikhilor for their strong support through this journey. In just little over a year, I’ve been given a promotion to do more for my state, and I am extremely grateful. My open-door policy remains — feel free to reach out to me with your tourism and creative ideas for the state. Together, let’s take Edo To The World."
"I will also like to remind my fellow public figures/celebrities that have been appointed by governors to please truly answer the call and do the job. I know how difficult it might be to leave the comfort of your homes and go back to your states, but your people need you and the work is rewarding."
