Veteran Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has issued a defiant message, declaring herself unshaken and unwavering amid her ongoing feud with Judy Austin.
In a lengthy Instagram post, she made it clear that she will not back down despite efforts to pressure her.
Rita described herself as a "living tiger" and warned that pushing her from her stand would come with consequences. She emphasised that she does not break under pressure but becomes stronger, and that her silence should never be mistaken for fear.
She wrote:
"Dem don dey beg me, but I am not backing out soon. I am unfading. I am unwavering. I am a living tiger (not tigress). The worst thing you can ever do is push me from my stand. Do you want to play with fire? Then be prepared for the heat. I do not break under pressure; I become stronger. I do not retreat because of noise; I become more determined. I do not bend just because some people are uncomfortable with my strength."
"I know who I am, I know what I stand for, and I know exactly why I am standing there. I have mastered the art of silence, but never mistake my silence for fear. Sometimes, I am quiet because I choose peace before the wrong move is made. Sometimes, I am watching, and sometimes, I am simply giving you enough rope to reveal yourself."
"I don't chase trouble, but I will never run from it. I don't look for wars, but I am not intimidated by battles, and that's why I am the fear that fear fears. My aura is not for everybody to handle. My energy is not for everybody to test."
"If you come with respect, you will meet respect. If you come with peace, you will meet peace. If a bit of you comes determined to provoke, humiliated, or push me beyond my limits, Jesus, then do not be surprised when you discover that the person you thought you could intimidate was never intimidatable in the first place. I am not here to be liked by everybody. I am here to be true to myself, and I will continue to stand tall, move with purpose and wear my strength like a crown."
The Nigerian Voice recalls that Yul Edochie left his first wife, May Edochie, for Judy Austin in 2022, sparking a public feud between Judy and Rita, who has consistently criticized her nephew's decision.
Judy recently filed a N1 billion defamation lawsuit against Rita, further escalating the tension.
