Since the launch of the National Digital Property Addressing System (NDPAS) in October 2017, by the President of the Republic H.E. Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the Digital Address system is providing an effective means of addressing every location and property to facilitate the implementation of key government policies.

It is against this background that the Ghana Post Company Limited is gearing up to undertake a door-to-door campaign to help the public register their digital addresses in their homes and workplaces.

The company will also help churches, schools and identifiable groups generate their digital addresses.

This was disclosed by the company's Corporate Communications Manager, Kobi Hemaa Osisiadan-Bekoe, on Angel TV yesterday.

"We have realized a lot of people are not too familiar with the process so we want to reach out to people in their homes and workplaces to assist them with the registration," she explained.

According to her, the digital address has become mandatory requirement in getting the National Identification Card (Ghana Card), as well as accessing other services.

The App GhanaPostGPS can be downloaded from Google Playstore or Appstore. Following the prompts on the app will help you install and generate your address.

It would be recalled that the Chief of Staff on 7th March, 2018 issued a directive to all Ministries, Departments and Agencies, as well as MMDAs to adopt the digital address as the official address system for the delivery of government services and contracts.
