The Human Hand: Did You Know That

The Human Hand: Did You Know That
11.03.2016 LISTEN

The human hand is padded with physical and spiritual significance? In creation, each hand was uniquely made special by God – GEN. 1:26-28; PSA. 8:6; ROM. 8:29; HEB. 2:8. Each hand contains twenty seven {27} bones and the number 27 stands for the horn – the emblem of strength. Thirty seven {37} muscles are attached to each hand and 37 represent a warrior – PSA. 144:1. The hand represents power, skill, purpose, and blessing. Clasping of hands in the congregation of the saints, in sporting, political, agitation or trade union events stands for unity.

Clinching of hands indicates tension or suppression. Raising of hands could mean worship, adoration or surrender. Striking the chest with hand shows devotion, sincerity or regret. Folding of hands is an evidence of contemplation. Hands over the head equate suffering, sorrow and grief. Each hand is given five fingers by God and five represents the grace of God. The two hands of men have ten fingers and ten stands for the law – the Ten Commandments. No two sets of finger prints are the same; hence fingerprints globally are the most preferred form of identification.

Fingers are employed in carriage, writing, eating, bathing, fighting, lifting, praying, playing, music, washing, preaching, sensual activities, educating, cooking, mothering and fatherhood. Pontius Pilate the Roman governor of Judea washed his hands before the Jewish mob who dearly wanted the Lord Jesus Christ crucified – attesting to his innocence in the death of the Saviour of the world – MT. 27:1, 11-24. Pouring water can also represent an act of service to a higher authority. Biblically, the hand of God represents the power of God – ISA. 37:27.

The lines on the palm and other marks are God’s deep secrets that embody gifts, abilities, talents, skills and knowledge. Expectedly, the devil has an army of pseudo spiritual rogues who pretend to decode the information contained therein – astrologers, palm readers, sorcerers, native doctors, magicians, occult consultants, false prophets – JOB 37:2.

The hand is an instrument of prevailing in godly prayers – EXO. 17:11. It’s a tool for afflicting people in satanic assemblies. A righteous hand can transmit healing, deliverance and blessing – PSA. 16:11. As its written: “These signs shall follow them that believe” – MK. 16:17; LK. 10:17; ACTS 5:16; 1 COR. 12:10. In contrary manner a demonic hand readily transmits sickness, curses and bondage. Physically and spiritually, a hand can be rotten, frozen, amputated, suspended, handcuffed, buried, wedged or destroyed – HEB. 12:12.

I command deliverance and restoration for any hand diverted from its covenant route in the name of the risen Lord Jesus.

Shalom.
CRUCIFIXION
DID YOU KNOW THAT:
Crucifixion was an ancient form of capital punishment which bound the victim alive to a cross? This most dreaded form of capital execution was practiced by many nations; prominent among them were the Greeks and Romans. Though stoning was the preferred Jewish method of execution, Jewish elders and the mob unarguably forced the Roman authorities to crucify Jesus the Son of God because it was a most horrific and accused way to die – NUM. 25:4; DT. 21:23; JOS. 8:29, 10:26-27; MT. 27:22; JN. 19:31; GAL. 3:13. In the beginning, death on the cross was designed for slaves and the worst type of malefactors.

The Jews had Jesus scourged {MT. 27:26}, and forced to carry His cross to the execution site – JN. 19:17. Crucifixion was slow and very painful, but death was usually quickened by breaking the victim’s legs – JN. 19:31-33. In rare cases, a cup of vinegar with gall was administered to deaden pain, but the Lord Jesus refused this alleviate – MT.27:34.

In God’s salvation through His Son Jesus, no man should face this sad prospect again – JN. 3:16; ROM. 5:8; 1 JN. 4:9. Jesus went through this horror for humanity to be saved this punishment again.

But whosoever rejects the Son of God and makes nonsense of His great sufferings on the cross of crucifixion, crucifies Jesus anew! Hell and its horror will be the reward for rejecting the gracious mercies of God in His Son which was accomplished for mankind of the horrific cross at Calvary – DT. 9:17; ISA. 5:14; EZE. 31:16; 2 PET. 2:4.

Men and brethren, please surrender your lives to the Lord Jesus Christ and it will be well with your spirits, souls and bodies in Jesus name, amen.

SATAN
DID YOU KNOW THAT:
Satan is a term that means “adversary”? His initial appearance in biblical history was to Eve in the Garden of Eden – GEN. 3:1-3; 2 COR. 11:3; REV. 12:9. In Scripture, the word is used generically: “The Lord stirred up an adversary” – 1 KGS. 11:14. The word of God specifically first mentioned Satan by name in the book of Job - JOB 1:6-12; 2:1. The book of Job is believed by Bible scholars to be the oldest scripture from God.

The Lord Jesus Christ also called Satan by name when the devil tried to prevail over the Saviour in the temptation after Jesus’ period of fasting – MT. 4:10. Satan’s trade mark is to be hostile to God and man – JOB 2:3; LK. 22:3. He is relentless in trying to destroy the work of God - MK. 4:15.

It was Satan who was a murderer from the beginning – JN. 8:44. He was the deceiver who persuaded Judas to betray the Lord of the universe – LK. 22:3; JN. 13:27. In the New Testament, he is pictured as a real, vital power. He is a ruler of a kingdom which has power – MT. 12:24; LK. 11:18; REV. 12:7. He is the god and prince of this world – the world which opposes God and he goes about seeking to devour and enslave men – LK. 22:3; ACTS 26:18; 2 COR. 4:4; 2 THESS. 2:9; REV. 12:9. Satan is also known as the devil, which is the rendering of several Hebrew and Greek words for an evil spiritual being. It is found in both the singular and plural, for the greatest of all fallen beings and for devils in general. A New Testament references for devil {devils} are the renderings of words that mean defiled spirit or accuser. Satan represents death, weeping, regret, gross darkness and wickedness at its height!

The good news is that Jesus is the light of the world – JN. 8:12. Satan holds the patent of darkness even when he pretends to be light – 2 COR 11:14. Only those who are saved and only those who are in Christ Jesus can be in the light – 1 JN. 1:7. Christ gives light to those who are the recipients of salvation – ACTS 26:18; EPH. 5:14; REV. 22:5.

Friend, I invite you to walk in the light of God today by giving your life to Jesus Christ NOW. Please don’t delay!
