Bamba Is A Family And/Or Clan Not A "Group" Name

It has come to the notice of the BAMBA family with deep dissatisfaction the use of the name BAMBA to a group whose objective is unknown to the family nor knows of its existence. We will like to state emphatically that, the name can not and must not be used in boisterous and violent act.

Also must not be used to such kind groups of negative cloud what soever. Any member of the family who wishes to form or engage in such organization can use his first name not the family name.

Briefly, BAMBA is not an individuals name. It is a Family and/or Clan name usually used by members as other names on official records. Interestingly it is mouth friendly and ear pleasant thereby out shining the first names of members.

BAMBA is a highly respected clan within the wangara and /or Banda tribes of Ghana, Mali and Côte devoir.

BAMBA'S in Ghana have over the years gain an unshakable reputation, noted for higher educational credentials both secular and Islamic. As a result many Ghanaians today name their newly born by BAMBA not really knowing its meaning but for what the name has bred, its associations and esteem.

BAMBA has given birth to prominent personalities who have contributed and are contributing in governance of this nation and a host of others distinguished in respective fields of endeavour.

Notable amongst them are Hon. Mohammed Salisu Bamba( MP- Ejura/seko)

Mr. Basit Aziz Bamba(member of presidents legal team in the 2012 election petition)

Shaikh Hassan shuaib Bamba(Islamic scholar)
Shaikh Amin Bamba(Islamic scholar and formerly of Tamale polytechnic Business department)

Shaikh Mansuru Shuaib Bamba( school management committee chairman Ejura/Seko municipality and former board member Ejura Health insurance scheme)

Shaikh Lukman Bamba( Islamic scholar)
Doctor Ahmed Bamba( lecturer) and a host of others.

Against this background, the family wishes to inform Ghanaians and the world especially the media that BAMBA can not and must not be associated with violence what soever. Of is inimical to the very firm moral foundation upon which the family was built.

We Appeal to all tomdic and harry to desist from associating BAMBA with violence. It is alien to us, we abhor it and we reject it in Toto.

This came to fore aftermath of the Talensi by election. Even though the so called BAMBA boys was not present. Which we even doubt its existence, the mention of present groups like the self acclaimed Bolga Bull dogs and Azorka boys do not mention without the addition of the doubtful existent BAMBA boys for all the bad reasons.
