Camfed Ghana Honours Sara Nana Yeboah

In commemoration of International Women's Day, Camfed Ghana has organised a program to celebrate 6 prominent women leading change in Ghana where their stories were used to motivate young girls in Tamale.

Honouring the event as a guest speaker, the publicly admired Florence Nightingale of Africa and multiple awards winning Social Entrepreneur, Sara Nana Yeboahenthusedparticipants to put on hold unnecessary competition and focus on an agenda of promoting gender equality in Society. She also noted “…fighting for gender equality will take time but empowering fellow women will create a bigger opportunity to do the unthinkable”.

Receiving an award for her selfless dedication, Sara who recently turned 28 was celebrated for the leadershipand commitment she has demonstrated in the promotion of preventive healthcare and empowerment of the girl-child and the youth in Ghana. In a citation presented by Dolores Dickson the Executive Director, it reads, “Camfed Ghana salutes you for your dedicated service to the promotion of good health in Ghana in particular and to humanityas a whole. We appreciate you for the honour you have brought to yourself and Ghanaian women in general”.

The Award comes few days after her foundation, The Sangy Foundation renovated a rural school, Nwawasua JHSin theBrongAhafo Region aside 8 others and 2 libraries across the country.

Other award recipients include; Mrs Ann Maria Fati Paul, Queen Mother of Bongo, and 3 other females from the region.

Sara Nana Yeboah is the Co-founder and Vice President of The Sangy Foundation, a Professional Nurse and CEO of Sangy Nursing Services a private nursing firm.
