Alhaji Huudu Yahaya wins delegates' hearts

With barely two weeks to go for the national delegates' congress of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Huudu Yahaya is strategically cruising for the party's national chairmanship slot as many delegates endorse his candidature.

“The impact of the message and response so far is overwhelming. He has managed to win the hearts and admiration of delegates by using his strength in articulation to explain his vision and prospects for the party,” Alhaji Huudu Yahaya's campaign team said in a statement.

The statement attributed the overwhelming support to his timing coupled with his humility and immense patience which has “completely altered the complexion of the political game”.

So far the one-on-one campaign of Alhaji Huudu Yahaya has taken him to 6 of the ten regions of Ghana.

“Alhaji Huudu Yahaya's vision centers on the need to revivify the ideology of the NDC that is the philosophy of social democracy,” the statement said.

With barely a couple of weeks to go for the national delegate congress of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), one candidate is surely and strategically cruising. So far ALHAJI HUUDU YAHAYA has been outstanding in his campaign for the National Chairmanship. As a cadre he has demonstrated his perfection of the art of timing by just picking up at the right time in a fashion that has completely altered the complexion of the political game with humility and immense patience. ALHAJI HUUDU YAHAYA campaign on the one-on-one delegate style has just done 6 out of 10 regions namely: Ashanti, Brong Ahafo, Northern, Upper East, Central and Upper West. The impact of the message and response so far is overwhelming. He has managed to win the hearts and admiration of delegates by using his strength in articulation to explain his vision and prospects for the party.

ALHAJI HUUDU YAHAYA's vision centers on the need to revivify the ideology of the NDC that is the philosophy of social democracy. He takes time to revisit the history of the NDC through the years of struggle and breakthrough and also the period of change. Key among his vision for the party is to inculcate in the rank and file particularly the youth the spirit of solidarity. That with solidarity the NDC can create a more secure society in Ghana for everyone to live in. That solidarity has the power to inspire volunteers of the party to perform a multitude of tasks especially on campaign trails. That NDC believes that all Ghanaians deserve freedom from hunger and oppressive poverty and that can only be guaranteed with the NDC government in power.

ALHAJI HUUDU YAHAYA further considers a standard model office edifice for each constituency in the country with an ICT enable service and management tools. This innovation seeks to ensure a comprehensive database for the party. It will assist the constituency to be in touch with the National Headquarters with the clique of a button. Every constituency across the country will have a constituency management fund created with donations, contributions and some strategic fundraising methods. This innovation seeks to assist the constituency to have enough capacity to serve the branches and grow the party.

ALHAJI HUUDU YAHAYA's vision on consolidating the strength of the party at the branch level is by encouraging branch members to introduce activities that attract nonparty members. These activities will include workshops and fora on wealth creation, team building and political awareness.

AJHAJI HUUDU YAHAYA is the overriding favorite as his track record show he is the man to be trusted for the task ahead. He is the first General Secretary of the NDC (for 8years). He was in charge when the NDC had her best ever record performance in General Election (58% in 1992) and (57% in 1996). He has been the longest serving Vice Chairman of the NDC (for 12 years) and the Chairman of the conflict resolution committee.
