The Royal Bank opens three more branches

The Royal Bank (TRB) has opened three additional branches; Accra Central, Arena and on the Graphic Road in Accra as part of its expansion programme to bring the services of the bank to the doorstep of the people.

This brings to five the number of branches the bank has opened within six months of its operations in the country.

The first two are the Head office and Osu brnches.
The Managing Director of the Bank, Mr Robert Bentil, explained that the bank would be spreading out to other parts of Accra, Kumasi, Takoradi and Sefwi Asawinso as part of its organic expansion drive.

He said the bank had envisaged in its medium-term strategic plan to open 25 branches by 2015, stressing that 'Our ultimate objective is to bring The Royal Banking experience to the doorstep of our cherished customers'.

'Poised to make an impact in the banking industry in Ghana and beyond, The Royal Bank's focus of banking will be in Agricultural Financing, Oil, Energy and Mining. Other key area of focus will be in telecommunication, service and hospitality and commerce', he said.

Mr Bentil said in a bid to drive businesses in these sectors of the economy, TRB had invested heavily in a robust IT platform of international standard which would effectively and efficiently help to deliver excellent customer service to its clients.

He also hinted of plans by the bank to roll out its ATM service in due course, adding that the bank's robust IT infrastructure will help deliver real time electronic payment service.

Mr Bentil was of the view that 'since the bank launched its services about six months ago, it has been received very well', stressing that the bank's Private Banking Service had also been well patronised.

'We have invested adequately in a banking infrastructure that is dedicated to giving meaning to our tagline - Real Banking. Real Difference', he noted.
