I have read and heard many people expressing fears that either the petitioners or respondents may not accept the judgment or the outcome of the court case at the Supreme Court (SC) going on now.
Some have also advised both sides to accept the outcome no matter where it goes.
Well, it's easier said than done.
Considering how the case has gone so far, with the pink sheets involved being the main issues both sides are talking about, I have a simple but effective and nerve calming solution which if the judges could be advised and used, could help their judgment and the outcome be acceptable to all parties involved in the court case.
My proposed simple solution is this:
The judges should ask for all the original 22,002 pink sheets from the Electoral Commission (EC), and copies of the other parties, then set up a committee made up of the EC, the court, all the parties and some independent bodies to do a thorough audit and find out the pink sheets which have problems in terms of irregularities, violations and malpractices against the electoral laws.
I guess after this is done to the satisfaction of all present, then the truth is established, no one would dare complain after the judgment is given.
I hope someone could whisper this into the ears of the judges and give it a shot and let's see what happens.
God bless Ghana.
