HON. OBODAI EMBARKS ON TOWN PROCESSION WITH PARTY SUPPORTERS

The member of parliament for the Agona West Constituency who is also the parliamentary candidate on the ticket of the New Patroitic Party, Hon. Samuel Kweku Obodai, has embarked on a town procession at Agona Swedru in the Central Region.

The purpose of the walk was to sensitize and deepen supoort for his candidature towards the up-coming general elections on December 7. The walk started very early in the morning and well attended by party supporters, they passed throught the pricipal streets of the Swedru town amidst cheers from supporters, on-lookers and well wishers of the party including travelers in vehicles who happen to chance upon the occasion.

Some of the executives on the day were Mr. Onomah Coleman who is the chairman of the NPP in the Agona West constituency and Miss Morrison, a former aspirant for the Agona West constituency. Others are Miss Betty Vuha, the women's organiser, Mr. Kojo Addo who is the constituency organiser, Miss Rosina Quainoo and Mr. Jeff Sarfo who are secretary and constituency secretary respectively.

Hon. Samuel Obodai is contesting with Lawyer Charles Obeng Inkoom of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), who is his main contender and other candidates of the various political parties within the constituency.

The walk took place just the next day the President, H. E. John Dramani Mahama came to Agona Swedru to campaign finally in the Central Region. Though the walk took place through the main streets of the town, they went as far as Gomoa Central in a community call Aboso to assist their collegues over there whose parliamentary candidate is Hon. Edward Kudjo also on the ticket of the New Patroitic Party (NPP).

The walk could not have ended if they did not chant the popular promises of the party which are; the free SHS, free health care and employment.
