Understand truth and beyond truth, corporate

Comparison of many astonishing facts is very common in most corporate but how far they will help the corporate in its business achievements/result. Most of the corporate leaders love to cite and quote variety of examples that are very astonishing just to motivate the people to increase and enhance their performances. Further, they also compare the performances of different people from different streams of life to show how their team should perform. How motivating such examples and comparisons are to the people in real sense?

In nature, one can find an answer to such question. Look at the bumble bee. Bumble bees are reported to pull things that are 300 times heavier than their body weight. So are ants, they can also take the load 50 times bigger than its own body weight. But many other insects do not have such unique ability or strength. By getting astonished by the ability of a bumble bee or the ant, no one can employ them for the job of shifting the load. We can use these tiny insects may be to get thrilled or inspired but cannot be used in real sense.

By telling to a house flea or lady bug that how smart the bumble bees and ants are in carrying load will make no sense. Comparing these insects on this merit will be a foolish exercise and can only harms the creativity of people. Definitely it is an astonishing fact that a bumble bee can pull weight 300 times more than their own weight. Certainly, the ant also will shake our mind and create waves of surprises about its uniqueness. But they cannot go beyond.

The corporate bosses must understand the truth and the truth beyond truth. Usually the bosses use to quote such examples during appraisal of the subordinates. During appraisal process, appraiser has the upper hand over appraise and hence they use such tricks and wits to belittle the subordinates.

What the boss speaks may be 'true'. A truth however true it can be, but need not be true to all situations. The corporate bosses must develop 'sense' to see the 'truth and truth beyond truth'. If such an approach is not employed, instead of blaming the subordinates, they should employ ants and bumble bees for the job so that 50-300 times increased results can be achieved. Be wise when you fool others, otherwise, you may make fool of yourself with your own wisdom.

Get thrilled by the bumble bee facts and respect the creative intelligence of nature. But do not compare bumble bees with a lady bug or cockroach. One bumble bee should be compared only with another bumble bee and definitely not with subordinates.

Motivating should be a process of empowering and enabling people in the corporate and not telling some best examples with worst comparison and meaning in mind. One should find inspirations from uniqueness and uniqueness should not be kept as reference or bench mark especially during appraisal process.
