honours in his career. On Saturday, November 26, 2011, the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology conferred an honorary doctorate degree in Literature on him for his contribution to waste management and higher education in Ghana.
Under his astute leadership and business acumen, Zoomlion Ghana limited has excelled in its area of operations in just six years since its establishment and has been awarded by several institutions including the Government of Ghana, the Charted Institute of Marketing, Times of Africa, India and a host of others. Dr. Agyepong was also a finalist in the Ernst & Young Awards for the Masters category.
Aside from the commendable strides he has, through his companies, made towards environmental cleanliness and job creation in Ghana, the fame of Mr. Agyepong has also grown very rapidly on the international front as Zoomlion continues to make very positive impacts in other African countries such as Togo, Angola, Liberia and Zambia.
Dr. Agyepong in all owns about 32 companies mainly in oil and gas, mining, construction and real estate. They include: Appointed Time Screen Printing, J. A Plantpool, J. A Quarry, Creator Digital, Sino Africa Development, Zoil Services Limited and Zoomlion Ghana Limited among others.
Other high profile personalities who also featured in the poll for the most influential Ghanaians for 2011 include the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II who came second and Prince Kofi Amoabeng, the Chief Executive Officer of Unique Trust Financial Services who came third.
