Tema, Jan. 10, GNA -- Alhaji Iddrisu Abdul-Karim, Member of Parliament for Nanton, has said it is important for supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to work harder for the upcoming elections.
Alhaji Abdul-Karim, patron of the Ashaiman wing of the Young Patriotic Group (YPG), who made the call at the inauguration of the YPG at Ashaiman near Tema, said the NPP's victory would not be won on a silver platter, but through diligence and hard work.
He advised the Youth in the party to be extra vigilant during the biometric registration exercise, to ensure that only those who qualified were allowed to register.
Mr Yaw Adomako-Baafi, Member of the Communication Team of the NPP, said the National Democratic Congress (NDC) had failed to deliver on its campaign promises of a Better Ghana and urged the electorate to show the party the exit in the December elections.
Mr Adomako-Baafi appealed to Ghanaians to bring the NPP back to power to enable it to continue with the good works of former President Kufuor.
Mr Titus Glover, another member of the Communication Team, urged members and supporters to give the registration exercise all the seriousness it deserved, since in his view, that was the only way by which the incompetent NDC government could be voted out of office.
Mr Seji Saji Amedonu, NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Ashaiman, urged the electorate in the Constituency to reject the NDC, and vote massively for the NPP for good governance.
Mr Emmanuel Nartey, Vice Chairman of the Ashaiman YPG, pledged the members' determination to educate the youth within the Municipality on the need to register and exercise their democratic rights in the December polls.
