Ho, June 25, GNA - Mr Joseph Amenowode, the Volta Regional Minister, has appealed to the chiefs and people of the Ziavi Traditional Area to revive the Ziavi Zigi Cultural Troupe.
He said the group, a very popular youthful folkloric group that brought that traditional area into the limelight, should not be allowed to remain in limbo.
Mr Amonowode made the appeal when the chiefs led by Togbe Kwaku Ayim IV, Fiaga of Ziavi, called on him on Wednesday.
He appealed to queens of the area to revive the group and that problems during that process should be reported to him.
The Minister promised to liaise with the municipal assembly to tackle problems of erosion and investments in agriculture requested by the chiefs.
Regarding micro-credits Mr Amenowode said capacity and not an applicant's political party affiliations would be the qualifying criteria.
Togbe Ayim appealed to the Minister to facilitate the provision of a school vehicle for the Taviefe Senior Secondary School and repair feeder roads to food producing settlements in the area.
