Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited (GGBL) has introduced Alvaro, a non - alcoholic natural malt based soft drink, into the Ghanaian market.
Alvaro is available in two flavors – pear and pineapple. It is packaged in a stylish embossed green bottle with an emotive and contemporary metallic labelling giving it a sophisticated and outstanding look.
Alvaro comes in a 330ml packaging retailing at GHp70 and will be available in supermarkets, convenience stores, kiosks and bars, and hangouts across the country.
Speaking at the launch, Ama Okyere, Marketing Director of GGBL, said “innovation continues to be one of our key pillars of growth. We at GGBL realize that young adults want to make choices that reflect their modern views and attitudes; hence, GGBL's investment in Alvaro.
“Alvaro is targeted at young adults who are fun-loving and sophisticated, adventurous yet are individuals in their own rights and have a quest for that soft drink offering which is naturally unique and makes a statement about who they are.”
The brand will be supported by a compelling advertising campaign that highlights its sophistication and suitability for the contemporary and confident young Ghanaians.
Commenting on the launch, Seni Adetu, Managing Director of GGBL, indicated “Ghana is the first country in West Africa to be launching Alvaro as Ghana is a very sophisticated and dynamic market. Alvaro will subsequently be launched across Africa to meet that growing premium trend.
