Jacqueline Adjei THE POLICE in Kumasi are searching for the killer(s) of 19-year old Jacqueline Adjei, a second-hand clothing boutique attendant who was found stabbed to death last week at Mbrom, a suburb of Kumasi.
The deceased, believed to be a victim of a contract killing was discovered lying in a pool of blood inside the boutique, located opposite the Asanteman Senior Secondary School at about 10:30am.
Her mouth was disfigured and there were multiple deep cuts on her face, ribs, throat and chest. The assailants took nothing from the boutique after committing the atrocious crime.
The body of the late boutique attendant has since been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) pending an autopsy.
DAILY GUIDE has learnt that a 'susu' collector, who visited the boutique for business, found Jacqueline's body and raised an alarm attracting a large crowd of onlookers who subsequently informed the Suame District Police.
Superintendent S.K. Antwi Boasiako, Commander-in-Charge of the Suame District Police confirmed the horrific murder, adding that the killers did not steal anything from the shop but left behind a knife believed to be the murder weapon.
He noted that no arrest has been made so far in connection with the brutal murder but indicated that investigation was seriously underway to track the perpetrators.
The District Police Commander appealed to the public to volunteer information that could help speed up the investigation.
The deceased's uncle, Prince Nyantakyi told the DAILY GUIDE that he was in the house when he had a call that his niece had been murdered at her work place.
The family, he said, is devastated by the tragedy and tasked the police to do an exhaustive work to uncover the circumstances that led to the brutal killing of Jacqueline.
