The SHARP Pharmaceutical Company of Accra at the weekend donated a refrigerator estimated at 800 Ghana Cedis to the Pharmacy Department of the Regional Hospital, Koforidua.
Mr Seth Boahene Yeboah of SHARP Pharmaceuticals who presented the refrigerator said the company had observed the increasing numbers of diabetic patients that the hospital had to take care of and the need to store large volumes of insulin to satisfy the needs of the patients.
He said the company therefore decided to donate the refrigerator to support the hospital to store the increasing volumes of insulin for its patients.
Dr Obeng Apori, Medical Director of the Hospital received the refrigerator and thanked the company for its gesture.
He assured the company that the refrigerator would be put to good use.
Dr Apori urged other companies to take a cue from SHARP Pharmaceutical Company to support the hospital to improve upon services to its clients.
