President John Dramani Mahama has held bilateral talks with Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) on the margins of the ongoing 28th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in St. John's, Antigua and Barbuda.
The discussions focused on trade, investment and strengthening cooperation among Commonwealth Member States.
It is in line with the theme of this year’s CHOGM “Accelerating Partnership and Investment for a Prosperous Commonwealth,” which seeks to promote stronger partnerships, unlock investment opportunities and advance shared economic development across member countries.
The engagement underscores Ghana’s commitment to strengthening multilateral cooperation and exploring opportunities within the global trading system to promote economic growth and development.
