The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has appointed Julius Kwame Anthony as a Deputy Communications Director, effective immediately.
The appointment was approved by the party’s Functional Executive Committee (FEC) at a meeting held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.
In a statement signed by General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the NDC said the decision forms part of efforts to strengthen its communications machinery, improve public engagement and effectively communicate the policies, programmes and achievements of the NDC-led government.
The party expressed confidence in Mr Anthony’s understanding of communication and its strategic application, saying his appointment would enhance its ability to project its vision and policy direction.
It also said he would contribute to sustaining the gains being made under President John Dramani Mahama’s leadership, particularly within the framework of the Reset Agenda.
The NDC expects Mr Anthony to demonstrate dedication, professionalism and a strong sense of responsibility in his new role while working with the Communications Directorate and other relevant party structures to advance its communication objectives.
The party has consequently urged media organisations across print, electronic and digital platforms, as well as other stakeholders, to take note of the appointment and accord Mr Anthony the necessary recognition in the performance of his official duties.
It further identified Godwin Ako Gunn, Kakra Essamuah and Julius Kwame Anthony as the party’s official voices and contact persons for matters concerning the NDC.
The Functional Executive Committee congratulated Mr Anthony on his appointment and wished him success in his new position.
