Minister for Finance, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, has approved the payment of three quarters of rent allowances to personnel of Ghana’s security services.
The payment covers the period from January to September 2026 and is expected to benefit personnel across the various security agencies.
The approval follows the completion of validation processes by the respective security agencies and the Ministry of the Interior.
Press Secretary and Spokesperson to the Minister for the Interior, Julius Kwame Anthony, announced this in a social media post on Wednesday, October 7.
“I can confirm that the Minister for Finance, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, has approved the payment of three quarters of rent allowances, covering January to September, to personnel of the security services,” he said.
The payment will be processed by the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department following the necessary validation and approval procedures.
“All validation processes have been completed by the respective security agencies and the Ministry of the Interior, paving the way for the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department to effect payment,” he noted.
