First National Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kojo Fosu Boadu, popularly known as Kojo Bamba, has denied reports of a disagreement between him and the party’s Second National Vice Chairman, Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B.

He said his absence from a meeting between NPP flagbearer Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and the newly elected national executives was not linked to any disagreement with Nana B.

Kojo Bamba explained that he had another engagement and had sought permission from the party to be absent from the meeting.

The clarification follows reports and social media speculation suggesting that tensions had emerged between the two executives following the NPP’s national elections.

Speaking in a video shared on social media on Wednesday, October 7, Kojo Bamba said he had maintained a cordial relationship with Nana B over the years.

“I wasn’t at the meeting by the newly elected New Patriotic Party executives because I had another engagement. I was informed and I had to seek permission to be absent,” he said.

“I don’t have any issues with Nana B. I have worked with him for about 8 to 10 years with no issues or quarrels. After the contest, I called him and other aspirants where we shared ideas on how to work together,” he added.

Kojo Bamba and Nana B were among the three candidates elected to the NPP’s vice-chairmanship positions at the party’s National Delegates Conference in Kumasi on October 3.

Kojo Bamba secured the First National Vice Chairman position with 3,116 votes, while Nana B obtained 3,061 votes to become Second National Vice Chairman.

Nana Akomea was elected Third National Vice Chairman with 2,981 votes.

Kojo Bamba said the new leadership should now put the election behind them and focus on rebuilding the NPP and preparing the party to challenge the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2028 general elections.
