The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has celebrated former Vice President and its 2028 flagbearer Dr Mahamudu Bawumia on his 63rd birthday, commending his years of service to the party and Ghana.
In a birthday message issued on Wednesday, October 7, the party’s General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, extended warm congratulations and best wishes to Dr Bawumia on behalf of the national leadership and the entire membership of the NPP.
The party also prayed for God’s guidance, good health, wisdom and strength for Dr Bawumia as he begins another year of his life.
“Today, we celebrate your life and acknowledge your years of dedicated service to the Party and the Republic of Ghana. Your journey of public service continues to inspire many within our political tradition and beyond,” the statement read in part.
The NPP further prayed for divine favour for Dr Bawumia and expressed hope that he would lead the party to victory in the 2028 general election.
“May the good Lord guide your steps, bless the work of your hands, unite the Party behind our common purpose and, in accordance with His divine will, grant you victory in the 2028 General Election to serve as President of the Republic of Ghana,” the party said.
The party wished Dr Bawumia renewed strength, greater accomplishments, peace and fulfilment in the new chapter of his life.

You can pray for Bawumia and wish him a happy birthday; that is your right. However, the reality remains the same. The majority of Ghanaians are not interested in voting for a former vice president who couldn't deliver on basic promises, including the public toilet projects he assured the nation he would build. People are simply demanding accountability and results, not repeated pledges that never materialised.
