The Acting President of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG), Benjamin Otoo, has directed regional and district executives to refrain from recognising or implementing appointments whose validity is currently before the High Court.
Mr Otoo said the disputed appointments must remain on hold until the court determines the matter, warning regional and district executives against taking administrative action based on the appointments.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, the Office of the Acting President said the High Court had scheduled a date to hear and determine the dispute.
“Accordingly, all Regional Executives, District Executives and members are urged to disregard and refrain from implementing any notices, directives or administrative actions arising from the purported appointments until the Court has pronounced on the matter,” the statement said.
The Acting President further instructed executives and members not to recognise the appointments, stressing that their validity remains subject to the outcome of the court proceedings.
He appealed to members to remain calm and conduct themselves within the law as the judicial process continues.
Mr Otoo said his office remained focused on safeguarding the institutional integrity, property and collective interests of CLOGSAG.
He also urged all parties involved in the matter to exercise restraint and allow the court process to run its course.
“Let the court determine the matter,” Mr Otoo said.
