Popular phone dealer Nana Yaw Kyere, popularly known as Terry or Dinero among traders at Kwame Nkrumah Circle, is reportedly dead following his recent disappearance in Accra.
Nana Yaw reportedly went missing after travelling to Teshie to meet an individual over a phone business transaction. His disappearance sparked concern among his family, friends and colleagues after efforts to contact him proved unsuccessful.
Earlier reports indicated that Nana Yaw sent unusual WhatsApp messages to an associate around midnight, claiming that he had been “set up” by a girl in a room at Teshie. The messages reportedly included a photograph of the room and a live location.
The associate reportedly became suspicious because the wording of the messages appeared different from Nana Yaw’s usual style of communication.
Another message was later sent from Nana Yaw’s phone at about 3:00 a.m., reportedly indicating that he had been released. However, the photograph of the room and the shared live location were subsequently deleted from the WhatsApp conversation, raising further concerns about his whereabouts.
The development prompted investigations, leading to the reported arrest of three suspects in connection with his disappearance. His vehicle was also reportedly recovered as investigators worked to establish what happened to him.
The latest information circulating alleges that Nana Yaw was killed by his alleged abductors and that his body was subsequently buried.
The circumstances surrounding the reported death and burial remain unclear, pending confirmation from the appropriate authorities.
