H.S.A College of Naturopathy Launches First Student Cohort With Six Pioneering Learners

H.S.A College of Naturopathy has officially launched its first study cohort, with six students enrolled, marking a milestone for the institution. Founder and Principal Dr.(Alt) Nancy Coffie announced the launch in a statement.

It is the first time since the training arm of H.S.A Consult Ltd was established in 2020 that learners have been welcomed together as an official student body, according to the college.

Programmes and enrolment
Five programmes were opened for enrolment: General Naturopathy, Herbal Spice Crafting, Herbal Medicine, Colour Therapy and Holistic Nutrition. Cohort 1's six students enrolled in three of them, with two students each in Herbal Spice Crafting, General Naturopathy and Herbal Medicine.

The online launch
The launch was held online and served as more than an orientation. Students were introduced to the college's history, their programmes and curricula, the academic calendar and coursework, and practical assessments and quizzes. They were also shown how to use the college's e-study portal.

From training to a learning community
Dr.(Alt) Coffie said the six students represent the start of a new chapter and the foundation for future cohorts. She described the shift as one from training individuals to building a learning community, and from preparation to implementation.

She said seeing the vision move from an idea through years of training activities, curriculum development and institution-building to an organised cohort was deeply fulfilling.

She welcomed the students and expressed hope that the cohort will be the first of many generations of practitioners equipped with knowledge, practical skills and a commitment to responsible healthcare.
