The Ghana Education Service (GES) has begun discussions with the leadership of teacher unions following concerns raised by teachers over the substantive dates applicable to the 2025 promotion exercise.
The engagement took place on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, after teachers expressed concerns about the dates being applied to the promotion process.
In a statement, the GES said management had taken note of the concerns and would continue engaging the unions to examine the matter and work towards a resolution.
The Service assured teachers that it remained committed to finding an amicable solution to the issue.
It also appealed to teachers for their continued support and cooperation as discussions with the unions progress.
