President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his government's commitment to completing the Ho Sports Stadium, declaring that the facility should be ready before Ghana marks its 70th Independence Anniversary.
Speaking during his Reset Tour – Day 2 visit to the Volta Region at the Ho Sports Stadium, President Mahama said, "By the time Ghana celebrates its 70th anniversary, we want the stadium constructed."
The President's assurance has renewed hope among residents of the Volta Region, sports enthusiasts, and athletes who have long awaited the completion of the stadium. Once completed, the facility is expected to boost sports development, host major national and regional sporting events, and create economic opportunities for the people of the region.
The visit to the Ho Sports Stadium formed part of President Mahama's ongoing Reset Tour of the Volta Region, where he is inspecting projects and engaging stakeholders on the government's development agenda.
The renewed commitment signals the government's determination to deliver key infrastructure projects aimed at promoting youth development and strengthening sports across Ghana.
