The two were appointed to replace two deceased members of the Board, reinforcing its expertise and capacity to provide strategic direction and oversight for Ghana's communications, digital technology and telecommunications sector.
Prof. Agyapomaa Gyeke-Dako is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Ghana Business School with extensive experience in economics, finance and public policy.
Hon. Alhaji Abdul-Rauf Tanko Ibrahim is the Chairman of the Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana (Hajj Board) and a former Member of Parliament for the Yagaba-Kubori Constituency. He is widely recognised for his leadership in public service, governance and the management of Hajj operations in Ghana.
Since assuming the chairmanship of the Hajj Board, Alhaji Tanko Ibrahim has overseen significant reforms aimed at improving the annual pilgrimage for Ghanaian Muslims. Under his leadership, the Board successfully negotiated a reduction in the 2026 Hajj fare, enhanced stakeholder engagement with Saudi authorities and local agencies, strengthened medical services for pilgrims, and introduced measures to improve operational efficiency and welfare for Ghanaian pilgrims.

With the addition of Hon. Alhaji Abdul-Rauf Tanko Ibrahim and Prof. Agyapomaa Gyeke-Dako, the NCA Governing Board is expected to benefit from their diverse expertise as it continues to promote innovation, effective regulation and sustainable growth within Ghana's communications and digital technology ecosystem.
