The Deputy Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Mr. Sampson Ahi, has said the Government of Ghana remains determined to strengthen collaboration with development partners in advancing trade facilitation, agribusiness development, and industrial modernisation.
He made the statement when he received the Chief Representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Mr Uchiyama Takayuki, in Accra, on behalf of the Sector Minister, Madam Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare.
The meeting formed part of continued engagement between the Ministry and JICA on cooperation supporting Ghana’s industrial transformation and 24-Hour Economy initiative.
Mr Uchiyama, on his part, expressed appreciation to the Government of Ghana and the Ministry for what he described as a long-standing and productive partnership between both sides.
He reaffirmed JICA’s continued commitment to supporting Ghana’s development priorities, particularly efforts aimed at boosting industrial growth, improving productivity, and advancing the 24-Hour Economy framework.
He noted that JICA remained committed to working closely with Ghanaian institutions to promote sustainable economic transformation through targeted technical cooperation and development assistance.
The Deputy Minister, on behalf of the Sector Minister, welcomed the assurance and thanked JICA for its sustained support towards Ghana’s development agenda.
