A disturbing incident at the Community 22 Polyclinic has sparked public outrage after a man allegedly assaulted a nurse who was carrying out her professional duties by enforcing the facility's visiting-hour regulations.
According to reports, the incident occurred when the nurse informed visitors that official visiting hours had ended and requested that they leave the ward to allow healthcare workers to continue attending to patients without interruption. Witnesses say the request angered one of the visitors, who allegedly refused to comply with the directive.
The situation reportedly escalated into a heated confrontation before the man allegedly attacked the nurse in the presence of patients, staff, and other visitors. Hospital personnel and bystanders quickly intervened to prevent further violence and restore order.
The nurse is said to have received support from colleagues following the incident, while healthcare workers continue to call for enhanced security measures at medical facilities to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
