The Vanuatu Trade Commissioner to Ghana, H.E. Amb. Prof. Hugh K. Aryee, has announced that the first-ever official Vanuatu Business Tour will open opportunities for Ghanaians.
Speaking at the 6th Annual NASAAG Conference, Awards and Start-Up Expo 2025 at Accra, he said the tour, scheduled for 10th to 21st February 2026, will provide rare access to trade, investment and cultural opportunities in one of the world’s most unique island economies.
He described the initiative as a new chapter in Ghana–Vanuatu relations.
Vanuatu widely recognised as the happiest place on earth, a peaceful island nation with rich cultural traditions, stunning natural landscapes and a philosophy of balanced living is organising the 10-day tour, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of Ghana, to expose participants to major investment areas including tourism, agriculture, energy, maritime services and digital innovation. Delegates will meet government officials, private sector leaders and business executives in Vanuatu to explore potential partnerships and investment prospects.
Beyond its scenic beauty, the nation is actively expanding partnerships in global education, tourism, agriculture, digital innovation and green economic transformation. Through the Vanuatu Trade Commission Ghana, the Pacific nation provides new pathways for Ghanaian students, entrepreneurs and institutions to explore opportunities in travel, training, investment and cultural exchange.
Amb. Aryee said the tour will also include cultural immersion activities and networking with local institutions. He encouraged students, young entrepreneurs and professionals to prepare to register when the portal opens, noting that the programme is designed to help Ghanaians expand their global networks.
He added that this is the first time Ghanaians will, have the opportunity to visit Vanuatu under an official programme aimed at deepening cooperation between the two countries. The initiative will enable participants to explore trade and investment opportunities, assess prospects in tourism, agriculture, energy, and technology, and connect with government and private sector partners. It will also offer a unique chance to experience the culture, natural beauty, and warm hospitality of a country often described as the happiest place on earth.
He also revealed that, registration for this maiden business and leisure visit will open soon, and students, young entrepreneurs, innovators, and professionals are encouraged to take advantage of what is expected to be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The programme signals a new chapter in Ghana–Vanuatu relations and opens an important gateway for Ghanaian youth to expand their global outlook.
The Commissioner highlighted the broader opportunities available through the Vanuatu Trade Commission Ghana, including global education pathways for students, cultural exchange programmes and exposure to digital training initiatives such as the AI Africa Project, which is training 11 million Africans in artificial intelligence. He said the Business Tour will complement these efforts by giving participants firsthand experience in international markets.
He noted that the upcoming tour will help position Ghanaian youth and business leaders to take advantage of emerging global trends. According to him, Vanuatu remains committed to building bridges of cooperation across trade, investment and education.
Through this Business Tour and other initiatives, the Vanuatu Trade Commission Ghana aims to support Ghanaian youth, professionals and start-ups to explore global markets and expand their horizons.
