Kwasi Kyei Darkwah, widely known as KKD, has been appointed Ghana’s Special Envoy to the Caribbean Region.
The appointment comes as Ghana intensifies efforts to strengthen international relations and deepen partnerships with countries across the Caribbean.
In his new role, KKD will spearhead initiatives to enhance diplomatic, cultural, and economic cooperation between Ghana and Caribbean nations, which share deep historical, cultural, and ancestral ties with the country.
His mandate includes engagement with key Caribbean states such as Cuba, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago, and Barbados.
The appointment forms part of Ghana’s broader foreign policy agenda aimed at expanding trade and investment, promoting Ghanaian culture globally, and collaborating with Caribbean partners on shared development challenges.
