The Member of Parliament for Anyaa Sowutuom, Hon. Emmanuel Tobbin, has once again reaffirmed his commitment to education in the constituency by presenting a cheque for thirty-eight thousand, eight hundred and ten Ghana cedis (GHC 38,810) to the Ga Central Municipal Education Directorate.

The amount will cover mock examination fees for students preparing for the upcoming Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

Speaking to the media, Hon. Tobbin explained that the donation is aimed at removing financial barriers that often prevent students from participating in mock exams—an essential part of their preparation for the BECE. “This donation will eliminate the financial barrier and its associated stress that often hinders students from preparing adequately before writing the main Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). This will rather give them the opportunity to prepare well and excel,” he said.

He further pledged continued support to education in the area, stating, “This wouldn’t be my last donation to the directorate. I am aware of the dilapidated state of some basic schools in the municipality and I’ve taken it upon myself to ensure these schools get a facelift befitting of the Constituency.”

In addition to covering the mock examination fees, Hon. Tobbin also donated a brand new printer and several packs of A4 paper to the education directorate to support its administrative operations.

Receiving the cheque and the equipment on behalf of the directorate, the Ga Central Municipal Education Director, Mr. Ibrahim Mumuni, expressed deep appreciation. He thanked the MP on behalf of the directorate, students, parents, and guardians for what he described as a timely and generous gesture.

The initiative has been widely praised within the constituency as a practical and impactful show of support for education.
