President John Dramani Mahama has confirmed that he will submit the final list of his deputy ministerial appointees before the end of the week.
With 56 ministers, including deputies, already appointed, the president is set to name four additional deputy ministers to complete his administration’s 60-minister framework.
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony for newly appointed deputy ministers at the Jubilee House, President Mahama assured, “This week, I will submit the final list of four deputy ministers to achieve the full complement of 60 ministers that we promised.”
He explained that his selection process was strategic, ensuring that ministries with heavier workloads received additional deputies to enhance efficiency.
Reaffirming his commitment to fiscal discipline, Mahama emphasized that his approach to governance prioritizes efficiency and accountability.
He also extended his gratitude to Parliament for the swift approval of his ministerial nominees, acknowledging their role in ensuring a smooth governmental transition.
