Health Agenda 111: Trede Hospital needs $8million, Kokoben Hospital GH¢100 million to begin operation — Health Minister
MON, 03 MAR 2025

The Minister of Health, Hon. Kwabena Minter Akando, has disclosed that the newly commissioned Agenda 111 hospital at Trede in the Ashanti Region requires $8 million to become fully operational.

Despite being commissioned by the previous government, the facility remains non-functional due to a lack of essential equipment.

During a tour of health facilities in the Ashanti Region on Monday, March 3, 2025, the Minister revealed that the consultant on the project emphasized the need for full equipment before the facility can receive patients.

The Minister also visited the Agenda 111 project at Kokoben in the Oforikrom Municipality, where he announced that an additional GH¢100 million is required to complete the project.

Notwithstanding these challenges, the Minister pledged that the President is committed to completing the hospitals to enhance healthcare delivery in the region.
