Obrempong Nyanful Krampah XI tasked traditional rulers to be ambassadors for peace, development

Omanhene of Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Area Obrempong Nyanful Krampah XI has tasked traditional rulers in the country to be Ambassadors for peace and development to sustain unity and cohesion.

According to Obrempong Nyanful Krampah XI, Traditional Rulers serve as agents for development to complement the government's efforts aimed at improving the lives of the people.

"As I have been saying, Nananom are agents for unity, peace and development in their various communities. They are to serve in humidity couples with respect and humbleness.

"As Traditional Leaders, we must lead exemplary lives worthy of emulation so that we could implement our vision and policies meant to spearhead human and infrastructure development under our jurisdiction of power," he stated.

Obrempong Nyanful Krampah XI stated these three newly installed Chiefs swore the Oath of Allegiance to him at Gomoa Ajumako last Friday.

The newly installed Chiefs were Nana Mbir Osinako IX, Chief (Odikro) of Gomoa Obuasi, Nana Kwame Kuma Egyir, Omankrado of Gomoa Obuasi and Nana Ewur Sasraku Cobbah III, Chief (Odikro) of Gomoa Nkran respectively.

He stressed the need for the new Chiefs to bring on board their ideas and suggestions to revamp the Traditional Council and to expand its tentacles in the areas of education, the communal spirit of the people and other means that would cushion people financially.

"Communities trumph on peace leading to the development of the community. It therefore behoves on Chiefs to lead exemplary lives. Settle every issue that comes to your palace amicably bearing in mind the need for coexistence and social cohesion.

"As you go to your various communities, use your initiative to spearhead human and infrastructure development by making education your top priority.

"School drop-out associated with teenage pregnancy ought to be eradicated from corridors of Gomoa. The people ought to be empowered economically to enable them contribute their quota towards community development.

"We can not always rely on Government to provide our needs for us to survive. Let's mobilize our people for self-help projects," he stated.

Obrempong Nyanful Krampah XI further stated that he would soon embark on a tour of all the communities in Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Area to witness the progress of self-help projects being spearheaded by Nananom adding that would be beneficial to the people.

Nana Odum Amanfo IV, Chief of Gomoa Akropong No 2 and Amankorahene of Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Area among other Divisional Chiefs advised the new Chiefs to obedience to Obrempong Nyanful Krampah XI and abide by rules and by-laws governing the Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Council.
