Is holier-than-thou Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa now a corrupt politician?

Mr Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the incoming Foreign Minister under current President John Dramani Mahama’s NDC-led government, has shockingly exposed himself to be as corrupt as any other Ghanaian politician.

All along, many a Ghanaian saw him as cutting across as a clean politician by his crusade to expose the malfeasances of his other political colleagues, especially, those in NPP.

He did not even spare then President Nana Akufo-Addo, accusing him of flying in expensive privately hired jets, accumulating massive financial loss to the state amid the Ghanaian economy crying for rescue.

He travelled far and wide, digging for information and proofs on NPP politicians to expose both their gargantuan and minute acts of corrupt practices he could possibly lay hands on. He was always busily portraying his political opponents as corrupt and people unworthy to govern the country, all in attempts to cause public disaffection for them to get voted out of power to bring in the NDC.

Yes, he has succeeded in his hatched plan to get the NPP out to bring in NDC. However, God Almighty cannot be mocked by hypocrites and go scot-free. They will surely get their comeuppance.

Now, Mr “Spotless” Okudzeto Ablakwa, has been requested to provide his tenancy agreement on a property he rents in Airport Hill residential area in Accra for the past eight years. Apartments or houses in that area are very expensive to rent. However, he claims to be able to afford it and his other expenses all by his monthly member of parliament gross salary of GHC15,000.00.

Again, he accuses MPs taking consecutive parliamentary car loans as greedy hence unfit to be in the service of their people and country. Nonetheless, he has been exposed for taking every car loan offered to MPs in every four-yearly term of parliament since he became a parliamentarian enjoying successful re-elections until today.

How do Ghanaians rate such a hypocrite on the honesty ladder? Is he perfect in his ways to capably stand tall to point accusing fingers at others, especially, those in NPP?

With his sharp baby teeth, courtesy of late President J. J. Rawlings, he could easily accuse people, and he will be believed.

Thanks to God that his unpalatable secrets are being exposed to put him in the same bracket as those corrupt politicians he gladly points fingers at.

While pointing an accusing finger at your neighbour, check how many fingers are pointing backwards toward you. Time will tell. With the passage of time, all the big-time crooks in both NPP and NDC will be known to Ghanaians through public exposure.
